Are your rock and roll beds M1 crash tested?

Safety is hugely important to us and yes, all our rock and roll beds are crash tested. Our beds are tested to ECE Regulation 14.09 and Directive 76/115/ECC Amended by 2005/41/EC. In short – they are fully crash tested.

An M1 crash tested bed is safe to be used in your van and means it has been rigorously evakuated and passed the strictest quality control criteria. Buy your rock and roll bed from Alpha Seating and you know it has the highest certification possible.

If you’re buying a rock and roll bed it must be crash tested. Don’t be fooled by beds you can purchase online which are described as ‘MOT compliant.’ These beds have not been crashed tested and do not have the required M1 certification.

Can I see your certification?

Absolutely you can. We’re happy to show you all our paperwork. Rest assured your rock and roll bed from Alpha Seating is supplied with fully compliant and current M1 certification.

Are your rock and roll beds guaranteed?

All our rock and roll beds are supplied with a cast iron 12 month return to base warranty. Our warranty covers any defects in materials and workmanship, so you are completely covered. In the highly unlikely event of something going wrong just pick up the phone and we’ll put it right.

Do you sell rock and roll beds for my vehicle?

We have installed rock and roll beds into many different vans from all the major manufacturers.

There are some vehicles we can’t work on, but the best course of action is to get in touch, and we’ll be able to tell you instantly whether we are able to build and install a rock and roll bed in your vehicle.

How much do rock and roll beds cost?

As we supply and fit rock and roll beds for many different vehicles, one price doesn’t fit all. What we can say is that you won’t find a better value, higher quality, British made bed anywhere.

Are your rock and roll beds made in China?

No, all our rock and roll beds are made by us in our UK factory. They are made by our craftsmen from superior materials including S275 grade steel and high-density foam. The bed frame is powder coated for durability and each bed is supplied with a full warranty.

We have been making passenger seating for over 40 years and have a fully experienced team who take immense pride in their work. Don’t confuse our British made rock and roll beds with the poor-quality imports which are sold on auction sites and by some suppliers.

How do I install a rock and roll bed?

You don’t have to. We are happy to install your bed for you. In fact, we’d recommend this as we have a team of experienced and skilled fitters who will ensure your rock and roll bed is installed correctly and safely.

Do your rock and roll beds for sale have seat belts?

When in the seat position all rock and roll beds must be fitted with seat belts. All our beds are supplied with 3-point seat belts. They are fitted with a retractor and are certified to Ar4m E4 standards.

We don’t cut corners in design nor in our manufacturing process. Our goal is to ensure our customers have the absolute best in comfort and safety.

What size beds do you supply?

We supply 3/4 sized rock and roll beds, the dimensions of which are 1800 x 1090mm. This is the most popular size of bed and one which fits into most vehicles.

I just want a frame. Can you supply that?

We can supply the frame only for you to fit into your vehicle. The frame will of course have been fully M1 crash tested. It will be your responsibility to fit the rock and roll bed yourself. For more information, please call us on 01455 856 816.

Do you do rock and roll bed upholstery?

We certainly do and all our upholstery is made in-house. We supply off the shelf designs or we can produce upholstery to your specifications including custom-made embroidery. Whatever the design or colour scheme you have in mind our team of dedicated upholsterers can produce it for you.

We use a 75mm cushion base with 33H medium-density foam in all our upholstery. This provides a comfortable seat for travelling and a firm and comfy mattress to sleep on when converted to a bed.

Can I have my company logo on my rock and roll bed?

We can add almost any logo to your rock and roll bed – just ask for details.

You can. Our talented upholsterers can embroider any design on the fabric of your choice. If you want a colour themed bed or one featuring your company colours and logo, we can make that for you.

We have decades of experience in making bespoke upholstery for vehicle seating and rock and roll beds. And of course, everything is hand made by our team in our own workshops here in the UK.

Can I choose the material for my bed?

You can choose either leather or vinyl upholstery. Most of our customers decide on leather upholstery for their rock and roll beds. It not only looks amazing but is hard wearing, easy to clean and extremely comfortable.
